Local Search API for more countries?

I really appreciate the great work you did with the local search and evolving it.
Unfortunately the search seems to be limited to the United States only, are you planning on opening it up and make it available for other countries as well (ie. UK or Central Europe)?

  • can someone please address this question? i too would like to use the yahoo local search API for countries outside the USA.

    documentation makes little mention of this either way, other than having a STATE parameter for supplying an American state.

  • I'm also very keen to know. I'm wanting to run a query something along the lines of,
    Select * from local.search where region="Uk" and city="Sheffield" and query="Sheffield Arena"

    and then parse the addresses of the places found....

    Can I set Uk region???
