You have to be kidding! I hate the new yahoo and so does everyone I have asked. As far as I am concerned, customer satisfaction is at the bottom of yahoo's priorities. There should always be an option to keep the classic yahoo page. Each time this happens, I switch to another browser and home page. I have a friend who thinks it is too much trouble to switch and she lets me know when the classic yahoo comes back. Then, and only then do I use yahoo again. I have an email account with yahoo, but rarely use it, so my main interest is browsing...but not with the new yahoo. I also have email accounts different browsers, but still prefer the yahoo classic home page.
Just leave the home page alone. It is NOT improved.
