Just wondering if there was a ruby SDK available or some sample code.

I don't think there is, but I've asked the team to weigh in here either way.

There is no Ruby-specific Mobile SDK from Yahoo! but you can use Blueprint together with Ruby in a very easy way. A view months ago we have published a quick workshop on using Ruby with the Blueprint Mobile SDK:
