crossdomain.xml file has bad characters at the end

I am trying to use the PlaceFinder service from Silverlight. To do that, I need a valid crossdomain.xml file.

The file at http://where.yahooapis.com/crossdomain.xml appears to have many junk characters in it after the closing cross-domain-policy tag.

Maybe this doesn't cause problems for Flash clients but it does affect Silverlight.

Any chance we can get it looked at?

I just rechecked with Fiddler and the crossdomain.xml file ends with a few hundred null characters.

  • I've had to use the deprecated service because of this error. Silverlight requests return a security error to placefinder, but not to the prior geocoding api. If anyone at Yahoo is reading these forums, please help.. this is a simple fix.
