Rate Limits for PlaceFinder app


Hi,
  is the rate limit of 50k per app also take into consideration IP address? Is there a lower limit based on the IP and App ID combination? We are having issues with yahoo services and planning to invoke behind a web service so we can monitor the status as oppose to directly calling from mobile devices. Wondering if that causes issues if all 50k requests come from the same IP.

  • The daily limit applies to the appid, whether traffic comes from one IP address or several IP addresses. Using a web service to connect to PlaceFinder will not reduce the daily limit.
