I've been banging my head against the wall trying to make my pipes with the Simple Math work like they used to. Is there any way to add one attribute of an item to another attribute of the same item? Is there any talk of bringing this back to Simple Math?
I've often used the Simple Math module in a Loop and it always worked before. As I understand it, the new behavior is that the Simple Math module only accepts numbers now, specifically from either the Count or Number Input modules.
I've tested this with old and new pipes and different browsers just in case but it is always the same.
I know using String Builder doesn't work. I am simply using it to show you what should be in the Simple Math module. As I said it won't save it in the Simple Math module.
I reverted my test pipe to how it should work. If you see item.second in the Simple Math module then there is something wrong with my account. If not and you can't get the expected result either, something has truly changed.
1) I went into your pipe and there was no item.second in the Simple Math.
2) I entered item.second in the Simple Math module and saved a copy of your pipe. I went back into the pipe and the item.second entry had gone.
3) I re-entered item.second into the Simple Math, saved the pipe, and then went back into my pipe. Item.second was still there.
4) Finally, I created a copy of your pipe from scratch, and saved it. When I went back into the editor item.second was still in the Simple Math.
I feel that there may be some problem at your end. While it's possible that there is a problem with your account, I feed that it's more likely to be a browser problem. What version of which browser are you using?
