I need to create lots of items (100+), which I need to edit weekly/monthly. Creating and updating 100+ Item Builder Module is clumsy. So I created a json file. Put this online and added the URL to the fetch data module. This makes the Pipe also load a little longer. Which I prefer it didn't need
The other day I found out that I can add the json data to the string builder. Than I wanted to use sub-element module. This ain't working. Is there another way to accomplish this / or another way to make the Pipe load faster?
Thanks for the mention.
The OP already tried something similar with a file containing a json string and the Fetch Data module. For some reason that took too long.
I think what you are experiencing is a case of WYSIWYdon'tG. While we see the output from the String Builder as a complex object it's actually a simple string.
Why did your original approach take too long for you?
@Paul Donnelly Thanks for pointing out that way of creating a file. Seems much more suitable. I will try it out.
@hapdaniel I actually didn't explain my issue good. The loading wasn't the biggest issue. My yahoo.pipe wasn't given the result I wanted. Somehow I assumed if I didn't need to load the json feed at all. The yahoo.pipe would work correctly and it would be faster.
