Hey all,
I still get this error and which is so random that I am unable to figure out. After successfully getting user to sign up and choose the openid identifier, upon redirection to my site, I get this error. Although I get this error most of the times, there are times it does work.

Verification failed: Server https://open.login.yahooapis.com/openid/op/auth responds that the 'check_authentication' call is not valid

I send the discovery request to
http://www.yahoo.com
I also try http://www.yahoo.com/

It just seems to work now and then but not consistently.. What does this error mean? I am using ruby-openid with rails. I couldn't locate any such known issue?
