I would like an OAuth consumer key, so I've filled out the API key application many times, to repeated failure.
"API Key Creation Failed: There was an internal error that caused a failure over here. Please try again."
This apparently a common, if unhelpful, error code. Having read the forums for clues in past incidents resolved, I hope this will help diagnose the problem:
URL: https://developer.apps.yahoo.com/dashboard/createKey.html Application Name: opendna/blog or opendna blog Kind of Application: Client/Desktop or Web-based Description: Personal webblog or Personal blog Application URL: http://opendna.com/blog/index.php or http://opendna.com/blog/index.html or http://opendna.com/blog/ Favicon URL: http://opendna.com/favicon.gif Application Domain: http://opendna.com [*] This app will only access public APIs, Web Services, or RSS feeds. or [*]This app requires access to private user data. with Delicious: No access or Read/Write etc, etc.
The fields were typed in, not copy/pasted, so there there's no errant /n line breaks. There is no mention of Yahoo! in any of the fields, and I'm pretty sure that my server is not timing-out today (other days maybe, but today's been good). The only thing I haven't tried is leaving the TOS unchecked... back now. That didn't work either.
Any assistance would be appreciated. I'm beginning to suspect this isn't a user error.
