Hello,To complete the question by (Jeff @ 30 Aug 2012 12:40 PM: Where can I find numbers related to the audience :- how many TV with engine > 5.0 sold? installed?- real fragmentation by engine version?- How many registered developers?- How many apps in the pipe waiting for validation?- what about the low number of apps available in the widget gallery- Any numbers about Apps(widgets) download in the world or by country?

With LG, Samsung having their own SDK, google tv on setup boxes made by sony and vizio, and others platforms, would like to figure out if development investment in YCTV worth the try. Altough the YCTV platform is a great job.

Regards

The majority of apps are built and controlled by the publishers and developers. You can not access webpages from Y! Connected TV. Generally viewing webpages is a very poor experience on TV.

I have a Vizio 42' E-series tv ( no 3d) and when i first got it last month I was satisfied with my purchase given the apps and how detailed they were but I've noticed in the past week that a lot of the Channels show options are disappearing and I'm left to think WTF I WASN"T DONE WATCHING THAT!!! If someone (ANYONE) could help me with this dilemma I would greatly appreciate that. I mean are any of the developers developing a way to access the websites without using these crappy channels if so please send me ur email because quite frankly my store warranty isn't up yet and I'm really thinking about adding a few hundred bucks to get a google tv instead, but I really don't wanna have to do that if I don't have to....HELP

I did all the stuff described on the site listed above. Yes, other applications do work. I still have weather radar from WISH tv app from New Year's Eve and I can't watch news videos. The trouble may be with CBC New Media, LLC. None of the station apps I have checked that are created by them work. I have contacted Samsung, Yahoo, CBC, WISH and LIN Media, but so far no reply from anyone.Robert A. PellBrazil IN

Connected TV platform...

One of the Apps is going to an upgraded "Premium" version of our current free App that can be purchased. We will be donating our share of the revenues to help support raising money for injured service members and their families coming home from the wars in wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Basically we want to use the App purchase as a way for our audence to further interact with the television show and as a mechanism to raise donations.

Our other two Apps are "Companion Apps" for two shows that premiered on a business cable network a while back.

Right now we are waiting on our first App that was released on Sony's Yahoo! Connected TVs to complete its QA on the remaining OEM partners so we can incorporate any technical issues or fixes in to the code base that is going to drive the rest of our Apps in development.

We are looking forward to Yahoo! continuing to support and grow the platform as we are seeing a lot of fragmentation in the Smart TV space and hoping Yahoo's incumbent status will minimize this trend going forward.

Media Spurt, Inc.
