Submission Process

I've been writing a Widget for Sky News in the UK. It is just about ready, but what do I do next? How do I submit a Widget for testing and going live?

I have the acceptance guidelines pdf, but where do I send it to?

How long will it take?

Also, a pdf not very helpful when it comes to filling in the forms, can you supply it as a word document?

I have not gone through the submission yet, but pg 86 of the dev guide says:

When you are ready to submit your widget for approval, please send an email to
    tvwidgets@yahoo-inc.com containing the following information:
    o Widget ID
o Widget version number to test
o Completed Yahoo! Widget Engine TV Widget Acceptance Criteria document, as
    an attachment.

I asked a question a few days ago about approval time, and was told about 12 weeks. Here is the post: http://developer.yahoo.net/forum/index.php...tart=#entry9641

  • Thanks Steve. 12 weeks is rather worrying, the project will have dropped off the corporate radar long before then.

  • Widgets can be posted to the gallery for viewing for testing prior to going live.
