New vizio m series, apps and controling from smart phone
New Vizio M series tv and need some help with yahoo connected tv. I can't find any support number or chat to get help. The yahoo connected tv website mentioned the ability to "buy" and purchase apps, and my tv doesn't seem to have these menus and a way to buy apps. I signed up with a yahoo account, setup yahoo wallet, but can't seem to do or view the store on my tv to view apps?
Also see there is a way to control the yahoo apps via a smartphone and I have no tutorial on how to set this up. I have screen shots of what I'm doing and would like to show something this. There are also people confused about this on a few internet forums as these features can't seem to be found on the new vizio tv's, but again, it's advertised as available. Let me know who I can talk to about this?
Well, that's sad to here :( It's confusing also, as the yahoo tv app shows the store and has instructions that tell you "how" to connect smart phone to the store. This is built right into the tv saying it can do this... I can show you screen shots of this, but this site doesn't let me attach images. This is very misleading, as anyone that gets an M series will read and see these instructions within the yahoo app.
Hi Jason, to be more clear, the Store is now integrated into the full-screen Apps view. Pushing the VIZIO button twice will take you to the full-screen Apps view. From there you can see the apps you have in your quick-view dock in the My Apps tab, or if you want to see all the apps available through the equivalent of the store, just go to the All Apps tab. You just need to pick one and it's automatically downloaded and installed if necessary. If you want to add that App to your quick-view dock, just press and hold the OK button and it will be added.
