  • FOR CES DEMO Apps ...

    - Does all acceptance criteria need to be met for the purposes of demo?
    o Do we need to send a 540 and 1080 version of the app? If only one, which one is preferred?
    o Do we need an About page for the Widget?
    o On the About page, do we need customer care contact info? If so, will a "www.website.com/feedback" URL work?
    o For the gallery description of the Widget -- need more guidance about length and tone of description. Can you provide an example?

    - Should we assume the demo should start with the presenter finding our Demo App in the Gallery and adding to the dock – or should the widget be on the dock?
    - Should we plan to build in a default location – Las Vegas, NV?
    - Should we plan to build in four favorite cities – or allow the presenter to set those up?
    - If during your QA process you discover issues, will we have an opportunity to resolve before CES (what is the timeframe)? – or will the app simply not be accepted for CES?

    I'll answer the ones I can:

    1) All TVs are 540 at this time, so 540 is the most important.
    2) Yes, it's required for all widgets just to start up. That said, for demo purposes using a line like this should be satisfactory:

    CODE
    KONtx.application.init({
    views: [
    { id: 'view-Main', viewClass: MainView },
    { id: 'view-Settings', viewClass: KONtx.views.AboutBox },
    { id: 'snippet-main', viewClass: SnippetView },
    ],
    defaultViewId: 'view-Main',
    settingsViewId: 'view-Settings',
    });

    That will provide a generic settings page without any buttons in it.

    3) Yes, for demo purposes that would be fine.

    4) 1-2 sentences should be fine. Check the existing widgets in the Gallery for examples of tone.
