i use pidgin too and its a p.o.s. i only get half of chat, no voice ur cam options, its text only, and every time i go into a room, i have to ignore half the room 1st because of bots, it doesn't save ur ignores like ym or ysupra does. all the other i.m. services on linux is i.m. service only, no chat rooms. i hate pidgin chat client! please make a yahoo messenger for linux. or at least make it work with wine.

There are a lot of Y!M clients for linux: Empathy, Pidgin, Kopete. I use Pidgin and I have no problem in seeing others' avatar pictures.
