Error 403 when receiving notifications

Hello. We're trying to develop an app that uses the Yahoo! Messenger IM SDK.

Until 2 days ago, we have been able to login, logout, receive presence updates, messages and other notifications. However, as of Nov 10, 2011 we have been unable to receive any more notifications. Our Comet-Styled GET requests either time out or receive an HTTP Error 403 with an empty response body. We are still able to login and send messages, though.

We have read online about the unlikely chance that we may have exceeded the 5000-hit daily limit for our IP but we have tested our application on different machines with different IP addresses, signing in different Yahoo! users, and even to the point of using different Yahoo! developer OAuth credentials, all of which have proven unhelpful to our current situation.

I would like to ask what might be the possible problems that cause an HTTP Error 403 with an empty HTTP response body? And how might we fix that problem, if possible?

Thank you for your time and have a nice day.
