Confused about Yahoo Local API Usage

I have emailed Yahoo to ask them this but I haven't heard back. My question is this, can I use the Yahoo Local API in a mobile application? I want to offer the app for FREE, but I want to have advertisements in it to try to make some money off my development work. I am confused about the commercial/non-commercial info in the API usage documentation. I am also confused about the part in the document that states,

Incorporate these services into applications or web sites monetized indirectly (by advertising, affiliate links) or directly - including subscriber-only content (subscriptions, software-as-a-service, hosted applications where your users pay for access) and for-pay applications, products or services; and

So in legal talk , can I not even advertise in my app????

    Hi,

Did you get answers to your question? I am also planning to use Yahoo Local API from my mobile application to retrieve nearby merchants list from the user current location. I am confused on the commercial/non-commercial aspect and the application is going to be free but will get revenue using Ads and other promotions.

    Please share your experience.

    Thanks
    Vijay
