Commercial/Unrestricted Use of Local API

I read that Yahoo Local APIs are requested 5000 requests per day and for non-commercial use only.  So what is the scenario to use this within my iPhone app, can I not use it at all?  I am willing to legally pay if I ever cross 5000 requests :-) but nevertheless I do not want to land up getting into a limbo if that limit is hit.  What are my options?
