XMLHttpRequest cross domain restrictions

Hello!

I want to use XMLHttpRequest for sending information to my server. But in the classic browsers there exist cross-domain restriction. Does this restriction exist in the widget engine? If yes, how I can postback data to my server?

Thanks a lot.

  • There are no domain restrictions.

It would be very hard to build a TV widget with domain limitations that does not reside directly on a domain.

Do not think of a widget in the same light as browser based app.

    Very very good advice!

P.S. - You should also take it to note yourself next time you criticize the platform for not doing something "every other Javascript platform does" (which also isn't a factual statement either anyway).

:hWould it be possible establish a run down of the Methods for each Object that can be used before the views are loaded and what needs to be called after the Objects are rendered?

    We apologize.

The actually statement was "...would expect the Image properties to function like other Javascript platforms"
