Which Vizio/Sony tvs should I buy for testing?

We have a problem here in Brazil because everybody from Vizio (US) or Sony tell us that's impossible to test our widgets on their TVs.
We really think they aren't well informed about that. So anybody got it to test using Developer's Mode out of US?
What TV model can I use (Vizio-Sony)? We intend to buy some models to test but want to be assure we can do that!

Here's some examples of TVs we have available here, is it possible to use for testing
VIZIO SV422XVT - 42" LCD
VIZIO SV472XVT - 47" LCD
VIZIO SF552XVT - 55" LCD

SONY NX705

Thanks by attention!

  • I'd recommend picking up this Vizio one (even if you have to have it shipped from the US): http://amzn.to/a80XLa

It's small size makes it very portable, it's full 1080p (1920x1080), doubles as a computer monitor too, and runs the platform just like the big Vizio TVs do.

  • We recently posted details on how to test your widget/app on a TV on our blog at: http://www.yctvblog.com/blog/2010/08/09/te...widget-on-a-tv/ That should get you going :)-Austin

  • I'll add my "me too" here. I have done most of my testing on real hardware using exactly that model of TV and had no problems.
