I'm trying to test a plugin in the VM. I can put the widget code in the /devwidgets folder and the widget will be recognized. However if I upload it to http://gallery.tv.widgets.yahoo.com/publisher, it will not come up as a 'DEVELOPER' widget inside the VM.
I have followed the instructions, however these could be a potential problem:
1) I'm using Win7 to zip the folder before uploading - is this a problem?
2) Even though the widget uploads and is displayed in the menu (@ http://gallery.tv.widgets.yahoo.com/publisher) is that enough to assume that it has correct structure?
I have added the developer code to the widget on the website; I tried to 'reset' the Visio TV and reentered the code, but still no luck. The 'Test Widgets' category never shows. (from http://developer.yahoo.com/connectedtv/installguide/CTV_IG_Testing_on_a_Consumer_Device.html#CTV_IG_View_your_Widget_on_a_TV #22)
Any other suggestion?
Thanks

I re-read the docs, an looks like this functionality is reserved for physical devices and not the simulator... thanks.<br><br><div class="quote"><div class="quotetop">QUOTE<cite>(Tek @ 5 Dec 2011 4:18 AM)</cite></div><blockquote class="quotemain">I'm trying to test a plugin in the VM.
