US State example

Hi, there.  The documentation for the children collection shows a simple query that returns the U.S. states:

http://where.yahooapis.com/v1/place/23424977/children?appid=

When I run this query, I get an odd jumble of time zones and land features, such as "Springfield Plateau" and "Boston Mountains".  

Any ideas?
