Specifying place type. Can't put example to work

Hi all,

I would appreciate if any one can shed some light on this.

I followed the Example 10 (bottom of page) at page:
http://developer.yahoo.com/geo/guide/api-places.html

...I can't use the place type filter, as prescribed in the example:
http://where.yahooapis.com/v1/places$and(....;count=0?appid=[yourappidhere]

(Yes, i have replaced the appid parameter by my own Y! appid...)

I keep getting 400 error message:

Exception -
Severity: error
Error Code: HTTP error
Exception detail:
File: URIMapping.cc, Line: 797
Severity: error
Error Code: HTTP error
400 Error: place has no member named type in the /places segment

Is the filter .type() operator actually working?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Best Regards.

Gustavo

  • You jumped the gun on one of the new features of Yahoo! GeoPlanet. The release that adds support for the $and filter was pushed out late last night. Please try your request again.
