Missing Data

Hello,

I have started using the GeoPlanet api and I have encountered an error. Usually when searching for a city in the US, the state and county information is returned. For Dallas TX no county is being returned.

Is this a bug or is there a reason for this?

  • I cant edit my post but I forgot to mention that when searching for 'Dallas Dallas County TX' the county is returned and a whole different woeid is returned.

  • This looks like a data bug.  We will look into the problem and correct it in an upcoming release. Dallas Town and Dallas County are separate places so they have different WOEIDs.
