How to get WOEID for DMA

Hi,

I have geography names for DMA, i want to get corresponding WOEID from yahoo using Yahoo Geo planet REST query.

ex: DMA Los Angeles

what is the query for this:
i am trying with :
http://where.yahooapis.com/v1/places$and(.q(DMA Los Angeles),.type(28));count=1?appid=appidhere
http://where.yahooapis.com/v1/places$and(....appidhere

but no use, i am getting no results. can someone please help me.
