how do we troubleshoot "install error"

I was testing some new versions of my widget and got an "install error". This message appears in the widget slot on the snippet bar, then the snippet disappears.

I originally thought something in my changes broke it, but then I tried to install an older version of the widget that had worked fine before. It gives me the "install error" too.

Installing one of the Yahoo! widgets (I think I picked sports) works just fine.

What could make a previously-working widget change to giving "install error"s?

Do you have any references to the platform object?

No. Evidently the problem was solved by waiting. I assume Yahoo or the internet was having an intermittent problem because I attempted to install the widget just now and it succeeded and functioned properly. I wish the toolkit could distinguish between an internet problem and a widget problem.
