FAQ - This post is taken from a list of the most frequently asked questions during the pre-release of the WDK
I'm looking at migrating from the previous to the current YWE version. I was under the impression that the old framework would still work, but I'm running into some problems when our widgets are loaded.
I'm getting these errors when loading the WDK:
Could not include file 'system://Boostrap/Migration.js' (Bootstrap.kon: line 3) [... loads of output ...] FAILED TO OPEN WIDGET /devwidgets/Accedo.widget : Failed to find kon file
Are these errors related? What do I need to do in order for the system to find the "kon file"? Is it mandatory to migrate to the new framework using the new class-based system for views for this release?
The framework changes do not affect the loading of widgets. This is handled by separate processes in our "bootstrap widget". The bootstrap error is normal and expected - it is something we reserve for future expansion.
The problem with the kon file you mention is either 1) no .TV file in his widgets' folder, 2) more than one .TV file in his widget's folder or 3) the .TV file is not in a directory like this <something>.widget/Contents/<something>.TV.
