Thank you for replying, Elinor.
And now, still another week has gone by with nothing but dead silence from Yahoo regarding the issue of not being able to log onto Facebook. Surely this issue cannot be complex enough to warrant this amount of time. You mentioned that Yahoo had resolved this for some users in February. Now it's April... Can it actually take this long to determine the problem and solve it for the rest of us?
Logging into Facebook? Something that gets done on myriad other devices tens of million times a day all over the world? Really? Honestly, are there Yahoo engineers assigned to this issue who are stumped day by day, and are actually getting nowhere over this amount of time? Or has this been shoved to the back burner? From the perspective of a customer, that is certainly the appearance.
Do you have anything at all to report, Elinor? You mentioned that you "will continue to be on this thread till there is a resolution." How will you be on this thread? Had you planned on checking in after a week of no word? After a month? If I hadn't written this, how much time would have passed with no report on progress?
I do not wish to be rude, Elinor. I really don't. But I (and others) bought a product that promised a feature that has not been delivered, and time keeps passing with nothing to show. Without prodding here I think the conversation would simply cease, and what was promised just wouldn't ever become available.
That Yahoo engineers haven't yet figured this issue out and implemented a solution, given the amount of time and the very small scope of the problem... It's astounding. It's also unacceptable. Please convey this to someone at Yahoo with the power and authority to get the right people on this and have it taken care of right away. This has gone on long enough.
Thank you, Elinor.
