Hi, I was just wondering why yahoo home page itself does not validate on w3c validator tool? It is so disappointing that we as a web developer knows the importance of it but it is very hard to convince the boss about validating pages when yahoo the big web company's site itself does not validate.
We've talked a little about this internally. There's always an effort to build pages that work well across all browsers, but sometimes we have to make choices that make validation impossible. Some of the reasons the page doesn't validate are due to those choices, but some are due to errors (the homepage is a big project, built with a large number of people, and there are bound to be mistakes). I've sent your note along to the team and they are aware of the issues.
