I have a Flex 3 application that retrieve time through your getTime api. However, a Security sandbox violation occurs when I try to get time data with an URLRequest containing a URLLoader object. The URL api is "http://developer.yahooapis.com/TimeService/V1/getTime?appid=<key>", where <key> is my private key (and is valid, tried with my browser).
The exact error is "Error #2048: Security sandbox violation: file:///C|/test.swf cannot load data from "http://developer.yahooapis.com/TimeService/V1/getTime?appid=<key>&nocache=1273138199906" To avoid this security error, a crossdomain.xml file must exist in the server root URL (ie "http://developer.yahooapis.com/crossdomain.xml"). This file exists for other domain such http://search.yahooapis.com/crossdomain.xml and not for http://developer.yahooapis.com.
Can this file be created or is there any other solution to bypass this Security error ?
Thanks for reporting this. We'll look to add a crossdomain.xml file on the developer.yahooapis.com domain in a future release. In the meantime, I'm not aware of any workarounds unfortunately.

Thanks for your prompt answer. I'm glad that you are considering adding a crossdomain.xml as yahoo already does for http://search.yahooapis.com/crossdomain.xml. I'm not sure that I understand why that would require another release as this addition does not entail a software change so I would hope the addition comes sooner. Anyway, if this addition were to be made, could you please tell me approximately when that could happen?
