YUI Tab and Carousel Issues

I have a page that I am setting a YUI tabview on with 2 tabs. On each tab, I am adding a different carousel. The carousel on the first tab displays properly. The second tab (initially hidden) has the carousel (background and clip region) collapsed to almost nothing.

I have determined that it is something in the tabview causing it because if I take the tabs off the page, the carousel's are both fine. Add them back, and the second one displays incorrectly.

I've tried forcing a width on the second one and then the 1st one is collapsed.

Anyone have ideas on what I can try next?
