TabView error with Smarty template

We are trying to use TabView from Yahoo UI library for one of our web portal. The portal is developed in PHP/MySQL and is based on Smarty template.
Now when we try using the TabView it gives following compilation error:

Smarty error: [in pages/homepage.tpl line 36]: syntax error: unrecognized tag: label: 'Tab One Label', content: '

Can anyone help me out with this.
