SOAP Endpoint End-Of-Life

Hi,

The Yahoo Mail documentation (http://developer.yahoo.com/mail/docs/user_guide/GettingStarted.html) states that the SOAP endpoint is going to not be supported after April 2012. Does anybody know when (or if) the endpoint itself will go completely dark? I'm trying to weigh the necessity to move from the SOAP endpoint to the JSON endpoint and the work involved in that.
