Print error with tiles on maps api

I am using the ajax map. I am using ie7, which is current enough that it should work. When I print maps that use the ajax api (I haven't tested others), the main tile is in the right place, but the bordering tiles are shifted up or down and don't line up at all. It seems to be printing the part of the tile that isn't shown on the web page. Upgrading to ie8 and asking all my users to do the same is really a possibility. Also, the markers don't seem to be transparent, but I can get over that.

Questions
1) Is this a known bug?
2) Is there a workaround?
