The company I work for is building a mobile website for smartphones for one of our clients and we are using Yahoo's Weather API to display the weather. We are also wanting to provide a link to the mobile version of the weather page, but that is causing some issues at the moment.
What I'm guessing is going on is that a user session is being set up and once that's created, they are redirected back to the home page for weather with their session key in the GET params. Something like &.ts=1275669602 would be the normal session variable. Of course, sending that along also does not allow it to work as expected, it appears that each session has to match cookies stored on the device (which is as it should be).
So, we're trying to figure out how to get them to the forecast for our client in a single click without having to do some kind of AJAX request in the background to set the session in preparation for them to click the link (which may or may not work).
Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.
