Hello, new and need help!

Hi there,

I want to be able to search Yahoo Shopping and import data/images into Flash CS4 Actionscript 3. I was wondering whether there were any tutorials out there that can give me a leg up, Ive had a look at the normal search tutorial and had a look at the Shopping Documentation although it all looks a little daunting. Any help appreciated.

  • Hi Sam,

    I don't think I've seen an AS4 tutorial for shopping. Since shopping mostly returns XML maybe there is an XML web service tutorial that would be able to use with the shopping API. That majority of the work for this API is constructing a URL to call to get the results you want and then parsing the returned XML into a data structure Flash can deal with.
