Does BrowserPlus with the updated release have the capability to retrieve the full path to the file?
How do you retrieve the full path to the file? I can only retrieve a "display name" of the file.
Please refer my thread on YDNfor the code snippet.

From the installed plugins and activity monitor I note that the plugin is 32 bit. I run my Mac at 64 bit - when will full support be provided?

Support for ZIP, TAR, GZIP, BZIP2 in Archiver Service.

Support for LZMA in LZMA Service.

Just to follow up, there is support for partial file transfer now.

Service that makes this possible is FileAccess. Use either read() or slice().

We are using yahoo business mail and yahoo mail upploader inside browser plus.
We found that the service is unstable and we want to remove them all from the User PC.

Planned to uninstall with group policy or some wsh, but it's always blocked by a confirm dialog.
It's unreasonable to remove them one by one.
Want to have a feature that can passing the arguments into BrowserPlusUninstaller.exe
For example BrowserPlusUninstaller.exe /quiet == no prompt dialog uninstall

There should be a hack to show various notifications (like twitter search,facebook notifications, friend requests etc) at one place in the order of their appearance. There is already a hack for twitter search notifications (http://developer.yahoo.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=441) . If we can get all the notifications at one place on the desktop , it would be very helpful.

A couple of times you have multiple pages open in different tabs and u tend to miss on the notifications . This feature would be pretty helpful and we can reuse a apart of the JS script written by Uday.

Has anyone created a service that would allow you to create a customized toolbar that could display information as a user navigates from one web page to the next? I guess this would mean integrating with existing libraries for the browswer toolbars? Not sure how "open" those are.

Notificaitons are another way to persist messages and info across sites, but having a toolbar puts the information closer to the web page.

How do I uninstall it?
You can manage the software from the "BrowserPlus Configuration Panel". This is launched on Mac from your "System Preferences". On Windows you can find both the uninstallation program and the Config Panel in Program Files -> Yahoo! BrowserPlus.

You can also remove BrowserPlus from Windows from the "Add/Remove Programs" control panel.

Regardless of the operating system, the uninstaller will remove every trace of BrowserPlus from your system, including previous versions and any settings or preferences that have been set while you've used BrowserPlus-powered sites.

I have used this method, but I can't uninstall it.
Do u have another uninstall programme?

Hi I wanted to upload images(along with other form details) and preview them, using jsp and servlets. I am able to do the uploading part but could not get, how to preview the images in the frontend. Actually I am trying to reuse an example which is implemented in PHP. I am attaching my Servlet code here. In this 'completeFileName' will be populated when a upload of images has been done.

I've one proposal, why don't add an onclick event callback or something like to the notifications api?

i think desktop notifications are very important in rich web application (event driven applications for instance, like chat, nework monitoring, social networks ecc..)..

your notifications api is nice, but one thing very important in notification is to give to the user the possibilitiy to reach a dyinamic webpage for getting more details from an event, then why don't add a configurable callback function or simply and "onClickUrl" parameter (or more simply HTML tag capability in the message body)?

I would really like to see the Yahoo Browser available on the mobile Android platform devices. They are really taking over the mobile market. Any plans for taking the browser mobile?

Currently Browser Plus supports only HTTP Connection for File Uploading , It would be good If we have the HTTPS support also as most of them work in a secured environment and it will help them all . I really liked this plugin but couldn use it as it is not working with HTTPS connection
