Timeout on YQL queries tonight ???

HI Guys,
My users started complaining tonight of Server errors when accessing their Yahoo leagues

looking at my logs, I see that simple YQL queries like the following ones fail with time out errors

is there something wrong with the fantasy sports API tonight ???

  • it seems like the problem started to appear intermittently around noon PST
    and has been happening on every single YQL request since 5pm PST

    I have not changed anything in my app today, so something must have changed on Yahoo's servers, right ?

    has anybody else noticed it ?

  • I'm still seeing many TImeout on YQL queries in my logs this morning
    although not as bad as last evening...

  • apparently the problem is wider than the fantasy sports API
    so I posted to the YQL forum too:

  • Hey Alain. As far as I'm aware, there's nothing specifically that changed with the fantasy sports APIs yesterday, and I haven't heard any issues from direct consumers of our APIs (like the Yahoo! mobile/iPhone applications). So hopefully the YQL guys can provide some more clarity! Let me know what sort of response you get back.
