I posted this question a few days ago, and it disappeared from the forum. So I'm trying again.
I am interested in writing an iPad app which someone would use in preparation for and during their fantasy football draft. So I want three types of data:
Player statistics for all active players, for all years they've played. So for example, I can look at Adrian Peterson's numbers from the year he entered the league through 2013.
Player status. So for example, if Michael Crabtree suffers a ruptured achilles again, he will be tagged somehow as 'IR - designated for return' or 'Out' or something, so the user will know that they probably don't want to draft him.
ADP for all Yahoo! drafts which have taken place from the beginning of the 2014 season through the current date, so the user has this information to make a guess about how late they can wait to draft any given player.
I have explored the API in a limited fashion so far, and as best I can tell, I can only get the data I want for item (1), and then only within the context of an existing Yahoo! fantasy league (and even then, only for the current season?). I'm hoping that someone who is more familiar with the API can tell me whether it will provide the data I need, and if so, can provide some pointers about where to find more information about how to get it.
