I'm considering writing an iPad app, and I need three different kinds of data:
Historical player data (e.g. in 2008, Adrian Peterson had X carries for Y yards and Z touchdowns, and XX receptions for YY yards and ZZ touchdowns).
Current player status (injured, IR, IR with designation for return, etc.)
Yahoo! ADP in all live/mock drafts to date
My goal is to write an app which users can use in preparation for and during their 2014 fantasy drafts to help them make their selections (I do NOT want to write an app to actually conduct a live draft --- this would be used side-by-side with another device where the draft is running). Items (1) and (2) are necessary so that users can compute their own player projections for the the 2014 season and know which players are out for some period of time. Item (3) is necessary so that users can make an educated guess about how long they can wait to draft a given player.
I have spent some time perusing the developer API --- specifically YQL --- and it's not immediately obvious to me that I can actually obtain this data via the API. Is there some experienced developer out there who can tell me whether the API will give me what I need?
