Fantasy API Updates: August 10, 2010

I still haven't quite figured out the best way to organize these sorts of posts, but I figure it's most important to get the information out in any form possible -- we can refine later. So, without further ado, here's a list of changes that will be going out with the Fantasy API...tomorrow (August 10th). Hm. Next time we get to work on getting you guys a bit more lead time. This will also include some of the changes that went out about two weeks ago, just to make sure you guys know what else got out there.

Changes deployed July 28, 2010
  • Fix bug where NFL matchups for week 1 were already specifying the status as "midevent" instead of "preevent".
  • Add a stat_categories subresource to the game subresource, ie, "/fantasy/v2/game/nfl/stat_categories".
  • Disable "/fantasy/v2/user/<yahoo_id>" access in favor of "/fantasy/v2/users;use_login=1".
  • Fix introduced bug that was preventing team_stats within a matchup from defaulting to the "week" view.

Changes for August 10, 2010
  • Show fantasy points when requesting stats in the lastweek and lastmonth views for MLB, NHL, and NBA, and lastmonth view for NFL.
  • Add ability to get team points by week for points leagues in NFL.
  • Fix bug when trying to display a user's leagues/teams when the user owns an unassigned autopick team.
  • Fix bug that would cause a request to fail if trying to view player rankings for another user's team.
  • Fix player season stats to allow you to specify previous seasons.
  • Remove "yahoo_id" and add "team_key", "display_name", and "guid" to messages.
  • Add "guid" to managers.

Please leave a comment here if you have any issues that come up as a result of any of these changes! Expect the changes to appear in production at some point within the next day or two.
