A TOU question

I hesitated to ask this question as it may unfortunately have a very simple/obvious answer but I don't want to give up before I tried smile.gif

I am thinking of developing an app that would use the for each game: the league name, team names and matchup points (only the total, not the details).
I cannot advertise on this app so the only possible revenue would be to charge for it. Would I get in trouble doing so?

thank you

I hesitated to ask this question as it may unfortunately have a very simple/obvious answer but I don't want to give up before I tried :) I've passed on the suggestion to try to separate statistical data from general "fantasy" data like league/team information (which I think that we [Yahoo! Sports] would own) in terms of what's commercially viable, but it's hard to avoid legal and contractual discussions taking a long time.

Going by a strict interpretation of our Terms of Use, we wouldn't permit charging for an application like that (as charging for the app is just as much "deriving income" as having advertisements associated with it). :(I guess I'll have to decide if I want to do it as a freebee, just for the fun of it or just give up the idea
