Regarding widget communication

Hi,

I am new and learning about yahoo TV widgets.
I just want to know : how does the updated data gets displayed on consumer TV screen for the widgets that we have developed?
Please bare with me if you feel this is a silly query.

  • No question is a silly question ;) The data in the widget is update the same way a website would be updated. The widget is built using JavaScript and pulls data available on the web into the widget to display to the consumer. Make sense? Essentially data available on the web may be displayed in a widget. Hope that makes sense?

  • Agree with Schmeeds. If you have built a DHTML / Web 2.0 type web app, developing widgets is very similar.
