We have been using yahoo webservice for a world clock and time widget and recently we have observed its reporting wrong time:

Time is wrong for Brussels (BEXX0005) - time displayed is one (1) hour behind what it should be.

Time is wrong for Sao Paulo (BRXX0232) - time displayed is four (4) ahead of what it should be. Look forward for your help.

I have been trying to get queries against contentanalysis.analyze to return the related entities, as they do in the documentation. Anyone else able to do this? Here is what I have been trying:

the '...&related_entities=true' doesn't seem to do anything.

and the URL andformatting for the example text in the documentation is as
follows:

The text of the query should be formatted as an YQL query (i.e.
the part in bold font above, using the example text from the documentation).

I am not sure about the real internal limits. BUT
Practically you may not be able to hit the limit of text, you will be most of the time blocked by network limitations.
like
if you are using GET request , yourtext-input will build large URL, and that will get truncated or refused due to URL length limitation.
while using GET method always remain with 512 character limit.

Similarly if you are using POST method, I hope its safe to limit your request within 1MB, mostly to make your app moreresponsive.

It's just because there's no significant keywords in your input text. Try some longer sentences with clear subject like

SELECT * FROM contentanalysis.analyze WHERE text="Knicks328"

You'll get result "", "", "Knicks" and ""

It just return "results":null.

We've been trying to test the Content Analysis service but are finding in many case we gets "results": null' as the response. In some cases, attempting the same query a few minutes later we'll actually get data about the submitted URL, but in the bulk of (admittedly a small sample of ~ 20 domains) we will keep getting "results":null.

Is the service actually working or is there some limitation in queries tested using the YQL Console?

If this is not a limitation;

1. is there a reason for null results (when the given URLs are accessible online)?
2. is there a reason that data becomes available in a re-query?
3. is this service 'production ready', or should it be considered 'unstable'?

Content analysis API is for developers/publishers. If your site has long form content, the API could (for example) allow you to build SEO tools through our keyword extraction. It could also enable you to better architect pages for semantic web understanding since the API gives them Wikipedia identifiers for entities detected, where possible.
