Hi,
I'm new to YDN, and am having some trouble getting started. I'm trying to find out how use the Web Services to write contacts, who sign up on my website, into my Yahoo address book. I found the following information on
http://developer.yahoo.com/addressbook/:Typical uses of the API include email address auto-complete and contact look up, social network invitations, phone number look up for mobile messaging and postal addressees for shopping and photo sharing services. The functions supported by the API are as follows:
Updating of Contact Data: The ability to create, modify and delete contact information. The Address Book API includes checks during create or update actions to auto-merge identical contacts to reduce the number of duplicates in a user's address book.
Note: Write-access to the Yahoo! Address Book is available on a case by case basis. If your application requires the ability to update users address books, please contact us by email for further assistance.
The "Contact US" link is an email to request-ab-api-write@yahoo-inc.com. I sent an email, but it got returned. So I sent a request for write access to YDN Support.
I received a response from Robyn Tippins of YDN support, who referred me to this forum. I hope someone can help me here.
Thanks in advance.
Todd
