Can't get API Key ?

When I registered for a API I got a message below

API Key Creation Failed


the register detail is:

Application Name:test
Kind of Application:web-based
Description:tests
Application URL:http://www.omsonline.com.tw/index.html
Favicon URL:http://www.omsonline.com.tw/camera.png
Application Domain:http://www.omsonline.com.tw


can help me anything sad.gif ? thanks !

    I got a similar problem trying to get an api key for the domain mikeym.grabone.co.nz
    Application name: Grabone - refer a friend
    Kind of application: web based
    Description: Let our users refer their friends to our website
    Application URL: http://mikeym.grabone.co.nz/refer-a-friend
    Favicon URL: http://mikeym.grabone.co.nz/favicon.ico
    Application domain: http://mikeym.grabone.co.nz
    Access scope: Yahoo Contacts

    I checked that the verification file was accessible
    Then clicking "Verify Domain" or "Skip Verification" always leads me to the error message
    "Domain Verification Failed"

  • Further to that:

    I went through the forums, and checked that
    - I have no number in my domain name
    - It is not a tw extension
    - There is no redirection
    - it is not a .me domain
    - i provide a domain name and not an IP
    - I don't have yahoo or y! in the url
    - I do have a favicon (favicon.png)
    - the empty test file is accessible on
    http://mikeym.grabone.co.nz/yMzfA1h.Lj6o.E2fTmbc7Q--.html
    and returns 200

    I set up gmail and windowslive contacts import successfully, it s a shame I can't go on with Yahoo's..,

    Note: I saw in a post (though not very recent) that there might be a pb with new yahoo users - I am trying to create this key with a newly created yahoo user, could that be a pb?

  • I also got this last verification file by setting a .png file as icon instead of the .ico file I initially posted

  • I have the exact problem. I tried to get an API key--tried with 3 different sites I own, just in case they view addon sites as subdirectories. It didn't work no matter what I did. Like the previous dev, I just signed up as a new Yahoo user, so perhaps that's the problem?
