Download the Debian Software Package

From the previous step, you must login to the provided VM (username: admin, password:password). Follow these steps to download the Debian package:

  1. From within the provided VM, open a browser and download the ADK zip file (yctv-adk-i386.zip) from the following page:

    http://developer.yahoo.com/connectedtv/download

    If you have already downloaded the ADK to your host computer, move the zip file to your VM's desktop.

  2. Extract the Debian software package to a well-known location (for example, a folder on the VM's desktop). The Debian software package file starts with the letters yctv-adk_, followed by a version number, and ends in the letters _i386.deb.

    For example:

    yctv-adk_1.3.x_i386.deb

    The actual version number will vary.
