Yahoo! developer Philip Tellis is coming over to London for a few days at the end of May, and we'd like to invite you to meet him. We have arranged for him to give a talk on Web Performance at YDN's favorite venue, WallaceSpace in Covent Garden, London, from 7 p.m. on May 27.
In his talk, Philip will describe how bandwidth and latency are the two factors that affect how fast you can get content to your users. The first step in fighting these battles is finding out what your users experience: How bad is the experience, why should we care, and how can we make it better? He'll talk about the initial steps in measuring Web performance.
Philip is a self-described geek, currently in a dual role with Yahoo's Performance and Paranoid (security) teams. He looks at ways to measure and improve web performance and security, and is an experienced and well-respected tech speaker.
Well serve tasty refreshments after the presentation and Q&A, and wed love to see you there! Please register here here so we can get an idea of numbers.
